A massive ‘Thank You’ to all the residents who attended Saturday’s community street party.
We were up against a number of major community events happening at the same time, which undoubtedly impacted the turnout.
(Even the usually bustling food market at Aylesford Priory was reportedly quiet – a real shame.)
That said, it turned out to be a lovely afternoon. The live entertainment was excellent courtesy of Taylor Clark. Chef Gary’s hot dogs looked & tasted incredible – thank you to him and his family for all their hard work.
As always, it was fantastic to see our community come together and enjoy some quality time – relaxing with a drink from the Double Bubble Bar, dancing to great music, and indulging in a sundae from Mr Tee’s Ice Creams.
These events are put on through the sheer efforts of RA committee volunteers, raising funds, booking attractions and running the day, all at no cost to residents.
The present Co-Chairs will be standing down from their roles and a meeting convened in the next 2 or so weeks to see whether any other resident will step up to continue the good work.
Without a Chair – the committee and the Residents Association will be dissolved, as will future community events such as this.
So – please, step up and get involved. After all, it’s your community.
Thank you once again to those volunteers who made the day such a success.
